About this experience

It is the Perfect tour for nature and heritage lovers… there is some breathtaking landscape and I will tell you more about the Cathars… This tour will also enable you to discover 2 beautiful and picturesque medieval villages. This tour require a good physical condition, and good walking shoes to be able to hike to Montségur castle. Accessible to any person with a good physical condition able to hike. I can lend 4 walking sticks.

What to expect

1. Stop 1 · 1h

   Our first stop is Mirepoix, a beautiful medieval village dating from the 10th century. The large central square is flanked by a magnificent covered arcade, created by half timbered houses supported on wooden pillars.

2. Stop 2 · 4h

   We then drive to the Château de Montségur, where the last stake of the Crusade against the Cathars occured in the 13th century. We then spend a relaxing lunch, enjoying the local cuisine.

3. Stop 3 · 1min

   Next stop is for a relaxing walk in Camon, picturesque medieval village, classified amongst the most beauftiful villages of France, it is also known for its hundreds rose trees that are perfuming and decorating the streets. Camon was founded around a Benedictine abbey in the Xth century.
