Hiroshima: Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Museum 3 hours

About this experience

On this tour, you will visit the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Museum with a local guide to learn about the damage caused by the atomic bombing Hiroshima suffered on August 6, 1945.

What to expect

1. Stop 1 · 30min

The Dome, once a graceful sight, was left in ruins by the heat rays and shock waves of the atomic bomb. Although there were calls for its demolition during the reconstruction of the city, the A-bomb Dome, which tells the story of the damage caused by the atomic bomb, was left behind as a legacy of humanity.

2. Stop 2 · 20min

There is a cenotaph to comfort the spirits of the atomic bomb survivors at a place overlooking the A-bomb Dome.

3. Stop 3 · 2h

The museum tells the story of Hiroshima and its people before the atomic bombing, and the impact of the bombing on them. The archives quietly tell the story of Hiroshima as it was on that day.
