Installed in 2004 to commemorate the centenary of the death of Auguste Bartholdi, this statue pays tribute to the famous sculptor, born in Colmar in 1834 and creator of the Statue of Liberty gifted by France to the United States. Located at the north entrance of the city, it symbolizes the historical and cultural ties between France and the United States.
