We'll take you to the Minami-Aso area (Kumamoto) and Takachiho (Miyazaki) to explore Kyushu, Japan's natural landscapes. We offer a tailor-made itinerary for each individual customer. Our local staff will contact you to discuss the tour itinerary. *The tour itinerary is a sample itinerary. * If you wish to partake in the boat ride, please let us know by email before your tour date, as it must be reserved two weeks in advance. However, please kindly keep in mind that due to its popularity, we cannot guarantee the boat ride, as advance reservations are first-come, first-served. (Boat Ride fee is not included in the tour fee.) * Nakadake Crater may be under restriction, depending on the weather and volcanic activity. If the crater is closed, we could discuss an alternative plan that suits your interests. * If we cannot reach you via email (e.g., if emails are returned undelivered or you do not respond closer to the tour dates), we will attempt to contact you through WhatsApp.

What to expect

1. Stop 1 · 30min

   Shirakawa Spring (Shirakawa Suigen) is a famous spring water and selected as one of the 100 best spring waters in Japan. The water contributes to the development of local industries, such as bottled water and Japanese rice wine.

2. Stop 2 · 40min

   Takachiho Gorge is a narrow chasm cut through the rock by the Gokase River, and the cliffs lining the gorge are made of volcanic basalt columns that resemble the scales of a dragon where the stone twisted and flowed as it formed. Most interestingly, you can ride on a board to explore the Takachiho River and the gorge.

3. Stop 3 · 1h

   Amano Iwato Shrine is a Japanese shrine dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu. You can see a big torii gate, which is standing in a cave. The shrine in the cave also has a very mystical ambiance.

4. Stop 4 · 15min

   Takachiho Shrine was built approximately 1900 years ago. It enshrines desties of good harvests, and marriage prospects, transport safety, and lifting of bad luck, and attracts many faithful.

5. Stop 5 · 40min

   The Takachiho Railway offers a 30-minute, 5-kilometer round-trip ride from Takachiho Station to enjoy the spectacular scenery of Takachiho. On the train ride, you will have a good time seeing beautiful views of the gorge, including the new green leaves in spring and colorful leaves in fall, from the Japanese highest railway bridge. Note: The 12 hours and 30 mins duration will include transportation
