Submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria

What makes this activity special? A truly unique experience in Europe. The Golden Shark is one of the few tourist submarines operating in Europe and offers the opportunity for real underwater diving as a passenger, without the need for scuba diving. From Puerto de Mogán you can discover an underwater landscape that is normally only available to divers, including “La Atlántida”, our artificial reef project created to favor the regeneration of the seabed, as well as the wrecks and other elements that are part of the route. More than a simple excursion, it is an opportunity to discover the ocean from within a real submarine and get to know a project that combines tourism, exploration and conservation of the marine environment. A different experience to share with family, couples or friends and discover one of the lesser known faces of Gran Canaria: its underwater world.
What to expect
Discover the seabed of Puerto de Mogán aboard the Golden Shark, a real tourist submarine, and live a unique experience about 20 meters deep. For approximately 40 minutes, you will be able to observe through the large portholes of the air-conditioned cabin the underwater landscape of this area of Gran Canaria, including the artificial reef park “La Atlántida”, a project designed to favor the regeneration of the seabed through neutral pH concrete structures, and the wrecks that are part of our route. With capacity for 44 passengers, the submarine offers a comfortable and accessible experience to enjoy the underwater world without the need to dive. In addition, you can follow the experience with audio guide in 12 languages, with free disposable headphones, while the cockpit screens allow you to better know the route and observe the submarine’s maneuvers. Available languages: Spanish, English, German, French, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Russian and Mandarin Chinese. It is recommended to arrive with sufficient advance notice to redeem the tickets and complete the boarding process. Boarding closes 10 minutes before the scheduled immersion time. Arrival after the boarding deadline implies the loss of the reserved seat. No date or time changes will be made on the same day as the contracted immersion, except in duly justified cases and subject to availability. Refunds are subject to the applicable cancellation and refund conditions.
